ARF Factory Guide

Where ARF leads — case finishing and bracelets — and how it compares with VSF on each Rolex reference.

ARF built its reputation on the parts of a watch you feel every day: the case and the bracelet. It is one of the three factories we buy from directly as a first-tier dealer.

What ARF does best

ARF's 904L cases have the right weight and density, the brushing is even and directional, and the polished bevels are consistent. On the Datejust, the fluted bezel is cut sharply enough to throw light the way the genuine one does — a detail many factories miss.

The bracelet is where ARF stands out: solid end links, smooth articulation with no rattle, and a clasp that closes with a firm, precise snap.

ARF or VSF?

ReferenceOur recommendation
DatejustARF for case and bracelet; VSF if movement (VS3235) is your priority. Both are top tier.
GMT-Master IIVSF leads on bezel colours and movement; ARF is close on case and bracelet.
SubmarinerVSF generally leads; ARF if case finishing matters most to you.
DaytonaVSF for the VS4131 chronograph movement.

What to check on an ARF piece

  • Fluted bezel sharpness on Datejust models
  • Case weight and finishing — dense, not hollow
  • Bracelet articulation — no rattle, solid end links
  • Dial printing — sharp under magnification, correct font
  • Movement — ask exactly which movement is installed

Not sure which factory to choose for your reference? Ask us — we will tell you which one we would buy, and show you the QC video before it ships. Browse Datejust or GMT-Master II.
