Seamaster vs my genuine Planet Ocean - honest comparison

I own a genuine Planet Ocean and recently got a Seamaster 300M super clone. Here's the honest truth. The case finishing is 95% there. The brushing is even, the polished bevels are consistent. The bezel action is slightly less refined than the genuine, but you'd never notice unless you had both side by side. The dial is where it gets scary. The wave pattern, the lume application, the text printing - it's all there. My watchmaker looked at it for 5 minutes before he realized. The movement is the only real difference. The genuine has that smooth Omega sweep. The clone is close, but not identical. For the price difference, I'll take it.

This is exactly my experience. The QC video is what sold me too. No other seller does that.

I was skeptical about super clones for years. Posts like this finally convinced me to try one. Ordered last week.

The key is the movement. Ask for a timegrapher reading before you buy.

Salt water is the ultimate test. Mine has held up perfectly too.

This is so sweet. I did the same for my husband last year and he still talks about it.

My AD-loyalist friend still can't tell the difference. That's all you need to know.

Fellow pilot here. The GMT function is genuinely useful at 35,000 feet. Great choice.

Great write-up. I have the same model and everything you said about the finishing is spot on.

Reading this while saving up for my first one. Posts like this keep me motivated.

I was worried about being called out too. Never happened. These are that good.

I compared mine side by side with a genuine at a watch meetup. Nobody could tell.

Beautiful piece. Did you get the Swiss movement option or the standard? Trying to decide if the upgrade is worth it.

I had mine pressure tested at 10 ATM. Passed without issue. These are legit.
